During a cyber incident, especially, when there has been a data breach, effective communications internally will prevent confusion and ensure a rapid and effective response.  However, communications with external stakeholders such as partners, vendors, clients, and customers can be critical in reducing liability and preserving your organization’s brand. During this session Robert Beggs will provide a roadmap for readiness and delivery of internal and external communications during a cyber incident.  Attendees will:

  • Learn the essentials that guide all communications during a crisis
  • Understand the impact of traditional media and social media during an incident
  • Learn how to develop a formal communications plan, including the templates for rapid and effective disclosures
  • See real-world successes and failures in communicating cyber events
