Robert W. Beggs is the President of DigitalDefence, a Canadian firm specializing in preventing and responding to data security and privacy breaches. He has been responsible for the technical leadership and project management of more than 500 consulting engagements, including policy development and review, standards compliance assessments, attack and penetration testing of wired and wireless networks, third party security assessments, incident response and forensics, and other projects. He is also the lead investigator for managing the response of data security incidents. Robert’s client’s range from critical infrastructure clients (healthcare, energy, and financial sectors in particular) as well as small and medium enterprises. He holds an MBA in Science and Technology from Queen’s University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Robert is also the lead instructor for DigitalDefence’s unique security training in ethical hacking, forensics, and live system analysis, delivered to students from all levels of government, law enforcement, and other organizations. Robert is a founder of the Toronto Area Security Klatch (www.task.to) and the SecTor Security conference. He has presented at security conferences across Canada, the United States, and Europe. In addition, he is the author of « Mastering Kali Linux for Advanced Penetration Testing”.
